Dr. Alkhareif holds a PhD in economics from the University of Kansas, and a Master's Degrees in economics from both the University of Oregon and the University of Kansas in the United States. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in Finance, from King Saud University. Dr. Alkhareif published books and economic papers in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Ryadh bin Mohammad Alkhareif is the Deputy Chair of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) in the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Dr. Alkhareif has extensive experience extending to 20 years in the field of international financial affairs, macroeconomic policies, and in the field of multilateral development banks and international financial institutions. He was the Deputy Minister of Finance for International Relations, Director of Studies at the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), and Alternate Executive Director in the Kingdom’s Office at the IMF. He represented the Kingdom in the G20 Finance and Central Banks Deputies Meetings. In addition to his responsibilities at the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Alkhareif represents the Kingdom as its Governor at the African Development Bank Group, along with his representations at other regional financial institutions.
