National Center for Non-Profit Sector Holds Annual Supervisory Units Forum with Participation of 32 Government Entities
The National Center for Non-Profit Sector (NCNP) held its Annual Supervisory Units Forum today at the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh, bringing together representatives from 32 government entities. The forum aimed to strengthen collaboration and unify efforts in support of the Kingdom’s non-profit sector.
The event began with an official welcome for participants, followed by opening remarks, a review of the non-profit sector’s achievements in 2024, and a presentation on the sector’s strategic direction. The program featured a series of interactive sessions that explored the enabling legislative environment and set priorities for the next phase. These discussions involved ministries, government agencies, and national programs from key sectors such as education, health, culture, social development, energy, investment, and media. The wide range of participating entities underscored the Kingdom’s strong national commitment to advancing the non-profit sector and enhancing its developmental impact.
The program included interactive segments such as a networking break, a presentation on the NCNP General Administration’s project to support supervisory units, and a dedicated session on digital transformation and its role in enhancing the efficiency of the non-profit sector.
The forum concluded with a panel discussion featuring NCNP sector representatives and supervisory unit officials, who addressed key challenges and future goals. The session generated a series of recommendations focused on enhancing performance and achieving strategic objectives, highlighting the NCNP’s commitment to supporting supervisory units and empowering them to actively contribute toward the Saudi Vision 2030 goal of increasing the non-profit sector’s contribution to 5% of GDP.
Supervisory units are departments within government entities tasked with overseeing non-profit organizations in their respective fields. Established by Royal Order in 2017, these units provide technical supervision to ensure effective governance of the sector.
