The Center aims to organize, activate and expand the role of non-profit sector organizations in development fields, to integrate government efforts in providing licensing services to these organizations, to provide financial, administrative and technical supervision of the sector, and to increase coordination and support.
Without prejudice to the competencies of other entities, the Center may undertake whatever is necessary to achieve its objectives in accordance with its regulation, including the following:
Strategies, Plans and Programs
Developing strategies, plans, programs and performance indicators for the non-profit sector, verifying their effectiveness, and preparing periodic reports on them.
Regulations and Standards
Issuing the regulations, rules, guidelines and standards required to organize the sector, in line with the sector's laws and policies.
Licenses and Permits
Issuing licenses and permits for non-profit sector organizations as required by the relevant laws, in coordination with the competent authority and the supervisory entities overseeing their activities.
Financial and Administrative Supervision and Governance
Supervising the finances and administration of sector organizations, classifying them, ensuring their governance in line with the best international standards, and coordinating with the supervisory units in government entities.
Financial Support and Funding Oversight
Overseeing the financial support provided to sector organizations in coordination with supporting entities, and directing it to serve development priorities and plans and support financial sustainability.
Governance of Donations and Campaigns
Governing the collection of donations and the campaigns run by sector organizations in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.
Promoting and Enabling Volunteering
Spreading a culture of volunteering, and encouraging, organizing and enabling volunteer work to increase and diversify volunteer opportunities and grow the number of volunteers.
Organizational Efficiency and Capacity Building
Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of sector organizations, removing obstacles, providing administrative and technical support, building the capabilities of their staff, and designing the necessary programs in partnership with government and private entities.
Social Incubators and Accelerators
Establishing and organizing social business incubators, accelerators and think tanks for sector organizations, and encouraging the non-profit and private sectors to establish them.
Social Impact Investment
Activating social impact investment and encouraging contribution to it to achieve sustainable development impact.
Research, Studies and Database
Conducting, encouraging and publishing research, studies and statistics related to the sector, and establishing a database of the sector, its organizations, programs, needs and priorities.
Advisory and Training Services
Providing advisory and training services related to its competencies, for which it may charge a fee.
Raising Awareness of the Non-Profit Sector
Raising awareness of the importance of the sector, encouraging contribution to it in all its forms, and organizing and participating in related exhibitions, conferences and seminars.
International and Regional Representation
Representing the Kingdom in international and regional organizations and forums related to its competencies.
The Sector's Role in Sustainable Development
Activating the role of the non-profit sector in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and supporting the directions of Vision 2030.
